Novennial Ring post-celebrations

It is easy to simply write this off as on the player for not getting the Novennial Ring when it was released, but unfortunately my girlfriend and I took a break from the game (coincidentally during the Ninth anniversary celebrations). Now I had the fore-sight to grab my ring, but she was not so fortunate and delayed in getting her item. Sob story aside, I'm certain that we are not the first nor last to not acquire our rings. Now that the event has passed, is there any way to get this ring still, or any plans in the future for a second opportunity (Outside of the eagerly anticipating decade celebrations of course)?

Darn that stinks. I always hoped that for things that are given and not quested that the "Festive Moogle" would be able to reimburse a player for if they had taken a break. Life gets busy sometimes and people miss out when they didn't want to. Few of my friends reactivated right after the 9th anniversary also and missed out on the rings and free gear.

The Festive Moogle has very few uses, it would be nice if they put him to work since there hasn't been a real fan festival/expansion launch in awhile, or a real purchasable item with in game extra item since the Harpsichord. (excluding chocobo beret) Any item that has become event NPC fodder (usually items that are at least 2 years old and formerly quested at an event) should be "purchasable" year round. like the old yukatas, and first set of bathing suits, ect. And the suits and dresses be free whenever since they were a gift. If getting something that simple would make someones day I think they should do it.

Ah yes, the Festive Moogle. I had forgotten about him. He would be a very good use for situations like these.
