Looking for LS for 2 new players

Me and a friend are just getting back to FFXI (he played for a few years and I only picked it up for a month or so before RL caused a bit of an issue) We're going to be starting over as we both decided to get the abyssya ultimate collection: and loose what we had before (we were planing on moving servers anyway) After reading the forum for a while, Asura seems like it would be a good server to go to as it seems to have alot of active people on it: if we can (currently patching atm) Likely be making toons tomorrow.

We're looking for a LS that will be willing to have essential noobs (we know some, but alots changed) and would prefer a RP LS if possible; as we both miss that from before.

If you can point us in the right direction, it would be greatly appreciated. If this isn't a good server for our wants, will you point us to the server that would be? Though, got to admit, I liked what I've read from Asura posts so far as I hope we can find something here. Thanks

You should contact Saefinn, if he doesn't post here himself soon, he's got a relatively good Linkshell and he seems like a helpful guy.

Aside from that I'll be online in about 3 hours just as soon as my class is over and I get home. Just keep an eye out for "Arctic" from Asura, I'm always willing to help out.

As for the RP Aspect, I havent RPd in ffxi before and if you find a RP LS i'd be interested in joining you guys.

Got on about 10:30pm my time but neither you nor Saefinn was on during the hour and a half I was on. I have 2 toons, one for Main: Asheilin, and one for banking: Zaraelys (some play too) I'll keep looking though

If anyone else has any suggestions, I'd be happy to have them

I plug the LS a lot it seems. ^^

I go by GMT hours and I've been playing less recently to get on with other things that need doing. The chances are, I'll be on after 7pm GMT (maybe a little be later than that).

As for RP, I've not been a member of any LS's that do it. I've never done it either.

Also, if I'm free, don't hesitate to ask for help. Normally I'll say something like, "SCH/COR/PUP Do you Need it?" in the LS when I'm free for people to take the opportunity to ask for help, even if it's just to PL a party.

I don't think we've ever had any RP shells on asura. You could probably do a shout for one and see if you can drum up interest but if you're looking for people to do stuff with that might slow you down. I remember reading about a server that had a substantial RP population (was it Leviathan?) but I don't know that it still exists.

Thanks for the replies, I'll try to throw you a tell next time I see you on Saefinn. Currently we're running around East Sab leveling all the starting jobs to 10.

@Hoshi: Thanks, it was more an add, b/c the two of us can still rp while doing duo questing. Maybe when we get higher, we'll see about finding/making one for asura, but that might be a long while--I'd want to be 30+ before considering either at this stage.
