Steps:
* Engage in combat with a Thalassinon in Abyssea - Tahrongi.
* Observe chat log when mob is defeated to determine origin and type of killing blow and lights gained.
** If the automaton deals a melee killing blow, granted light will be pearlescent (or none at all).
** If the automaton deals a ranged attack killing blow, granted light will be ruby (always).
** If the automaton deals a Barrage ranged attack killing blow, granted light will be ruby (always).
** If the automaton deals a weaponskill killing blow, granted light will be ruby (always).
