Mordant 45

Anyone know what gear this can be used to make slots in? I know the gear won't be much good but I can't see any info on it across the wikis. Mordant 15 for leather gear and 75 for the 'big stuff' but short of spending loads of cash on random gear sets I can't figure out the 45 stuff!

My guess would be the carapace set. I'm not too sure though, never really looked into it.

Mordant x can be used on anything level x and below, so a mordant 75 will work just a well as mordant 15 on a lvl 7 Leather Vest. Generally, there's one set of armor that can be etched within a level range for all jobs.

I'm surprised someone even cared about synergy etching... the devs added hundreds of NMs to support a convoluted system, an entire new branch of crafting and then abandoned most of the project. They added some interesting evoliths to the first abyssea zones, but to non-repeatable quests (or no reward for repeating) so it wasn't possible to do anything usefull there.

Synergy Augmenting (with tatters and scraps) tried to combine FoV Elite Training with Synergy Evolith Etching, but so far that system has fallen flat on it's face as well. There's potential in these systems (as well as chocobo racing and pankration), but the devs seems to fail at realizing them...

Huh? Augmenting with tatters and scraps has been a pretty good success really. Theres another thread in this forum outlining some of the best of class items that can be made with it.
