actually this guy is very right i wouldnt do it unless you want to pay for a game you dont play you let other people play it for you. people dont play ffxi anymore the solo to level 30 and leech exp in abyssea to level 90-99 and then they think they are so pro and treat others like noobs.

The bottom line is if you were having fun before, yes, it's worth it. If you weren't, then probably not.

Some make the game sound more easy as it was before, /pause on that, of course you can get in 1 day lv30 to 90!!! but... you going to spend the next 3 month to get your +2 e.gear and 6 month to get Empy weapon, until then you be good to hold KI for your ls.

If you did not like it before, you might still hate it, that all i can say.

If they can't handle FFXI As it is now, Their problem was never FFXI, it was that they're incredibly lazy.

Because FFXI is not that hard these days.

In reality, You could likely get a Full +2 set in about... 2-3 Days Depending on how hard-core your friends would help you. Heck you could do it in 24 hours if you really really zerged it.

Weapons... Will probably take longer. I'm pretty casual with those things and i think it took us a couple weeks to finish 3 85 Empyreans. (Well, Technically it was spread over the course of a few months, But when we really cracked down and got to working on it it was quick)

Come back for a month and see for yourself! If you're having fun, then stay. What else makes something 'worth' it?

Personally, I would say yes. If you know how to work with the settings the game has aged very well, and the game now lends itself very well to popping in for a couple of hours and getting something done.

FFXI was never hard. It was simply a huge time sink, and now it isn't. You don't have to spend two hours looking for a party and then another three with that party to get anything done. You can log in, do something, log out. It's not any easier / harder than it's ever been, it's just not as reliant on other people and the amount of time you have to play.

I just recently came back myself. I'm having tons of fun already! Have a huge set of goals already planned, and old friends to help with them, and lots of new faces around too.
