    New Job Class ~ "Manuister" aka Cardian crafter(new multi-pet job)

    The basic idea similar to Zonpa-Zippa, a player gains the ability to not only control a Cardian, but is able to craft a small army of them. One of the coolest concepts introduced by the campaign system of "old" Vanadiel was the generals that had multi-pets. Primarily, the summoner and Zonpa-Zippa, had between 2-5 pets helping them. This idea of a multi-pet job would be a new introduction to the Vanadiel world, as well as tying a "crafting-like" skill to a job performance. These two concept could make a "Manuister" and interesting job.
    The "Manuister" unlike, say a Puppetmaster or Summoner, wouldn't be relying on a strong pet, but rather an small army of mediocre Cardians. The skill of crafting Cardians would be tied to ingredients/farming Cardian cards and a "Manuister" skill level. These two would limited just exactly how many Cardian can be "out" and how fast can a "Manuister" craft in the middle of battle.
    I'm in favor of having several tiers of Cardians(as they are now 2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, and 10 of a kind) having their own "crafting" timers. This way 2 would be fastest to make while 10's the longest. Material formulas might also change over the tiers as well as which a player wants, for example coins, cups, diamond, or spades?
    In general, I think a natural limit of Cardians per "Manuister" level would be, if a Cardian is the same level as player(Cardian 9 of cups, player lvl 90) then only 1 is allowed "out". However, if a player chooses a lower level Cardian, they can produce more.
    Also, being autonomous, I think there shouldn't be a pet command for Cardians. They should function as elemental Spirits,as a Summoners. That is simply attacking what attacks you, attacking what you attack, and buffing as needed.
    Maybe with this job, we can finally put a "good" use to those cards in the auction house.

    I like this idea, but I don't agree with mixing it with the crafting system. Perhaps it could be no different from RNG, NIN, or COR, jobs where the consumption of gil-bought goods is a commonplace thing. But I would not like to have a craft and job level for one job.

    Perhaps the cards could be made stackable to 99 (if not already?) and then made available for the "ammo" slot. They could have level limits restricted to each one, i.e. a 2-of-hearts would be say level 5 while a 7-of-hearts would be 75.

    Swords could be the offensive type cardians, having a naturally high attack and low defense;
    Spades could be the defense type cardians, having a naturally high defense and high enmity growth;
    Hearts could be restorative type cardians, healing and buffing the master and party members;
    Clubs could be the enfeebling type cardians, reducing the enemy's stats in various ways.

    I dunno, it's a nice idea. If they were to introduce a new job to Vana'Diel, I wouldn't mind seeing this. Unique, and not over done from what I've seen.

    How do you intend to get this job idea past the very vocal minority that thinks pet jobs are destroying Abyssea?

    Nono, see more pets = faster solo NM kills with a full pet -dmg set, so people won't complain that they're soloing too slow.

    I never thought of it as destroying Abyssea when I solod on BST. After I started a fight, I would think, "You know what? I should probably do some laundry for tomorrow". So I would go to put a load in, but I'm out of laundry detergent right?

    So I gotta run to the store, pick that up, stop by the magazine rack because I'm like, "Hmm I haven't checked out Computer World in awhile, I wonder what's going on in here?" I skim through; it's the same poorly written junk by computer illiterates for computer illiterates. I put the magazine down and shake my head. I check out and I realize the cashier is a girl who was in a class with me in college so we shot the crap for awhile since there was nobody else checking out.

    I get home, put the laundry in, turn on TV and start checking out the damage from today's tornado. It suddenly occurs to me that I was fighting a NM awhile ago! So I run back downstairs to see what's going on. DipperYuly was still going strong at 68%, Tablilla was at 8% and I breathed a sigh of relief.

    Now obviously, it is ridiculous to AFK for half an hour with an NM. And have it still be alive when you get back. When I do laundry and go shopping, I expect my NM to be dead by the time I get back!
