Is there a reason why Merits aren't Job Specific. This would make so much more sense. If im playing my paladin i want +5 Enmity from merits, maybe 12 merits in HP, and VIT merit, but then when i switch over to my warrior....i dont want 5 enmity, im not the tank...i want -5 enmity, sure i can keep the 12 points in HP, but i dont want VIT, i want STR. All categories should be job specific, its not possible to even play a melee job, and then go and switch to a mage job, your non job merits would need too much adjustment in its current state, so much adjustment, that it would take over 40 merits just to switch from melee to mage in a proper manner.
So i ask...Why aren't merits job specific? Each and every job you select as you rmain should have its own Merit tables starting at 0 in every category. This makes switching jobs more feasable, and possible at that. You cant switch a mage job with mp merits and -enmity merits spell interruption rate down with int merits into a Warrior or DRG, or anything melee without making major adjustments that take way too much time.
Please make merits specific to each job so that its actually possible to play more than 1 job, or 1 line of jobs that use the same merits.
