Chocobo Hot and Cold Riding Duration

In this past Anniversary event, I became one of the lucky few to become an owner of a Chocobo Wand. Excited, I try it on for size as I bring out my Chocobo LuckyDancing out for a round of the Hot and Cold game in Eastern Altepa.

As I'm sure some people can attest, this game requires at the very least a pen and a ruler to keep track of one's hints (a protractor would be ideal, but I do not have one lying around, unfortunately). Of course, after using my Wildgrass, I then realize that my ruler was missing. I figured, since I had my Chocobo Wand equipped the entire time, I need not worry too much about it, and indeed, I find my ruler before the Chocobo theme finishes. However, as I'm taking my time with my digging attempts, I notice that I lose my Chocobo at about the same point in time I would've previously. So, my Wand has no effect on my Hot and Cold time? I felt slightly gypped after that.

Not that this is very important, but I am definitely in a venting sort of mood today.

+Chocobo riding time gear does not effect called chocobos, only stable birds.

The only way to extend riding time for a called bird is the one Racing slacks, which are the worst imo, I'd rather use the +speed slacks.

Oh. That sucks just a little bit.

Also, since I do Hot and Cold a lot, I'm going after the increased Jackpot silks, personally. It certainly helps that they also match the color of my bird. :>
