Moat Carp Quest is glitched?

I am posting for a friend because he does not have an account here.

When doing the Lu Shang's Fishing Rod quest he noticed the two NPCs say very different things when it came to totaling up his Moat Carps.

The NPC that starts off your quest (Gallijaux) gives him a X total amount of Moat Carp received but when he checks with the second NPC (Ufanne) tells him an amount that is completely different from the other NPC. While Gallijaux says he has a higher amount Ulfanne states he has a much lower amount and this is becoming quite confusing when it comes to knowing how much you actually have.

I thought the way the moat carp quest worked was that you wanted one brother to beat the other to catching the fish. They would each have separate counts because of that and I think you need to trade all of the carp to one brother and not either....
edit: i see Ufanne is not the other brother... been a while lol. Odd that they're giving different numbers. Wiki suggests that Ufanne does the counting though.

Don't speak to either brother if you want your count, you just get silliness and flavor text. Talk to Ufanne directly until she tells you how many you've brought in.

This is not a bug; the brother you talk to just gives you his grand total of fish received from ALL players... the sister (Ufanne) will give you your actual total, but it may take a few times talking to her to get her to tell you.

Ufanne also mentions that her brothers are stupid and keep losing count. Generally this happens when one of them hits the 10000 mark themselves.
