[dev1007] Voidwatch Emerges!

The forthcoming version update will feature a new battle system called “Voidwatch.”

In Voidwatch, bands of six to eighteen members will square off against “Voidwalkers,” savage entities that have breached planar bounds to invade multiple landscapes spanning past and present. By slaying these manifestations of terror, you and your stalwart comrades will gradually come to discover the true nature of the threat that has all of Vana’diel up in arms.

The upcoming May patch contains the first installment of this new challenge, and readies eighteen fields whereupon you will duel the dreaded Voidwalkers. The battle will expand to yet more areas in ensuing releases.



We will provide more information regarding Voidwatch in subsequent announcements, so stay tuned and steel yourself for battle!

Yay, new content, hopefully these will use the Kindred Crests, and High Kindred Crests.

Also anyone else notice that Everything worn in that Screenshot is New Armor? the Daggers might not be but the Axe is too.

Gilgamesh, as he currently exists, is one of the things that the old dev team did to take liberties with old FF lore that really annoyed me.

Don't care how cool his parts are in any of the various quest/missions are, but in my opinion, that character is complete and utter fail. =/

He's only Triple Wielding :P his Bottom-Right had is missing a weapon.

I bet he'll attack 2-4xs, and Use Tachi: Bromune.

Edit: His Bottom-right hand weapon Could be broken. It could be a system where you can break his weapons 1-by-1 to weaken him. Who knows.

I know it seems bad, I'm kinda scared of the new event if it has drop rates low like old events... I want Armor to be rare, But back during the Shadow-lord (S) BCNM, i did it i think near 14 times, and Only saw 1 piece of rare armor, it was the head. no Sword, Body... If its going to be drop rates like that again I'm going to be very very sad.

But i still really look forward to this new event. As long as it doesn't turn out like Walk-Of-Echos or Shinryu. One with open-to-anyone, the other where you can only have 3 people in at a time (battlefield wise).

Really, This is a question at the Community Reps. If this is a BCNM System (Dunno if you can comment on it), Is it going to be limited to only 3-groups per NM like Shinryu and MMM and Shadow-lord(S), causing Massive Waiting lines, where people fight to get in the battlefield?
