Change the names of all item delivery NPCs to "Item Delivery." It's not like any of them are ever important to the game's story, so they really don't need to have unique names anyway. "Item Delivery" as a name would work fine.
D'awww, they don't get their own names? Aren't they special enough?

Just kidding, but I do like the idea of having a mailbox outside of the home. We do it in real life for the very same reasons!

"PS2 limitations" are a cheap cop-out IMO. The PS3 came out in 2006, and the 360 the year before that. If you still play FFXI on a PS2, I am sure all of the players ticked off by the "PS2 limitations" being thrown in our face all the time could donate a dollar to a fund made specifically to keep you from holding the rest of us back. Drop the boat anchor, SE!!

I would prefer that the mailbox system is inside the moghouse, that it is in the moghouse menu just like the delivery system is. So that you can just select, "mail", and the mailing system would occur. Would be the most convient of the two, and the most logical. If the mailbox is going to be in front of the moghouse why not just put it inside, saving the zoning waste of time and loading waste of time, because in the end this is why its going to be installed right, so lets do it right.

It encourages you to explore the whole breadth of content rather than asking you to bumrush and bypass all the old content just so you can grind the newer content. This is a model used by other MMOs such as WoW, and while I don't have anything against people that enjoy this model, if I wanted to play an MMO with that model there are many, many games vast superior to XI in terms of mechanics and especially customer service that offer such a model.
