    Spell lock

    Shocked this was not made yet. Spell lock was said to be fixed a while ago but it is still a problem. to me it seems spell lock got worse after that update.

    stuff that causes it:

    Cures
    enhacing magic
    COR rolls
    Bard songs
    Elemental magic
    enfeebling magic

    spell lock also applays to resting. If i am resting and trying to get up I am stuck till the spell ends.

    +1 for fixing this. It has to be one of the most annoying bugs in this game.

    It's a difficult task to render... considering it is more of a physical error within the game than it is code... Only resolve that I would see to fix it is to have SE upgrade their connection speeds for ffxi.

    To be honest the only time I get trouble with spell lock is if I do the above but it does not bother me at all that I tend to want to get up when a spell has been cast on me. This really has never bugged me at all.

    We apologize for the inconvenience and annoyance when getting "spell locked". I can see that getting a bit frustrating it if happens time and time again.     Spell lock is really bad in the "Enemy of the Empire (II)" mission of A Shantotto Ascension, they're spamming ninjutsu and it takes forever to get your weapon out so you can WS.

    Just wanted to add that spell lock is a major problem for me. I would love to see this problem addressed!

    Spell-lock also occurs if you engage an enemy at the moment any spell is cast on you.

    Thank you for making this thread I was just checking if there was one before I made mine.

    Yes, Please remove the "Added Effect Terror" from magic being casted on players.
    It would be hard to argue that it's 'working as intended' as it's not consistent.
    I.E.

    If you're standing still and starting to move while casted on = Can't move or preform any actions.

    If you're engaging a monster and get casted on = Can't move or preform any actions.

    If you're already moving and get casted on = you can still move, but you cannot preform any actions.

    If you're already engaged with the mov and get casted on = can't move, but can preform actions.

    Etc... Just trying to drive the point home. This is one of the single most irritating things in the game next to npc options defaulting to "no" and requiring multiple confirmations.

    Somewhat related...

    I would personally prefer it if party members could not cast on me at all (cures, buffs even if AoE) while I'm looking inside a Sturdy Pyxis. "Event skipped" is really annoying when trying to search 10+ boxes for time extensions and key items. I'm not sure if others agree or not.
