(To the Dev) Name And Race Change Optional Services

We should have the options to purchase a race or name change for our characters. World of Warcraft offers these services for a small fee, it would be nice if I had the same options here in final fantasy XI . You can already change your names by switching servers but then you have to wait 90 days before you can return so I know this wouldn't be hard to do. I just wish we had the option without having to transfer servers. I don't want to leave my friends for 3 months. Please take this into consideration.

Yeah so we could downrate svengalis posts and threads of which there are hundreds of other posts/threads that are about the same thing (usually also started by svengalis). We also need one of those fancy "search" functions that other forums have to find threads about a particular topic before posting another topic about the same exact thing....oh wait...

So you want to change your characters's race? So basically you want to keep everything you've done with your old character on technically a new character? Is that what you are trying to say? I have no problems with name changes. But basically getting a new character while keeping all your gil, items etc. doesn't seem right to me.

I just want to change my name as I said in original post but it only makes since to offer a race change service to don't you think? I perfer hume and will stay that way.

It's not a new character it's just a race change, I don't see what the big deal is.

You can change your name by deleting the character, creating a new one with the same name, then restoring the original character.

No we shouldn't. A permanent identity rather than a stable of alts is an important part of what makes this game different from other MMOs.

Also, if SE won't allow same sex marraiges in Vana'diel they certainly won't allow transsexual mithras.
