synthesis Interrupted while another player synthing same thing

I'm on Windows Vista, cable modem.

When synthing next to or within range of seeing the results in the chat log, you will experience a synthesis interruption where everything you were using is lost, just as if you were synthing and a mob attacked you or the ship landed. This occurs in any zone only synthing the same thing. My synths are NOT failing they are stopping. This has only been happening to me since the recent Big update.

I'm in EST, happened multiple times last night probably between 8-11pm. I finally got sick enough of it to banish myself to my mog house. I did talk to a gm, but that was really just to let them know it is happening, nothing they can do. this is on the tech side. I have been playing this game since it came out in the US and this has never happened to me until recently. I synth a lot and this is a serious inconvieniance to me and a lot of other people as well...
