Unmasking a Goblin?! Just what do they look like??

As if to taunt us over the years with the concept that they in fact can lose their mask from being toppled by us Adventurers after a battle (ex: You've found a Goblins Mask), after looking at one of the winning entries of the 9th Anniversary Art contest, looking at the Goblin within the piece sparked the thought... just what do Goblins look like under that mask?! lol

I took a stab at fabricating what I think they may look like, ^^; but I'm just guessing here.

Would it be impossible to get an official FFXI illustration of what one of our oldest enemies actually look like under that mask? I mean we get to see what Orcs look like masked and unmasked... unfortunately lol.

No, he has a point. I've been wondering this myself for a very long time.

There should be an NM that at some point, the face mask breaks or falls off. Even if he didn't drop anything, I think people would still fight him just to see what his face looks like.

I think their noses would be smaller than that. I always imagined those masks to have sort of a filtering mechanism or something that took up some space.

I could understand the built in eye protection if their eyes were sensitive to light and such (being underworld dwellers and all), but unless they had ultra sensitive smell as well (which would warrant a big shnoz lol), what would they be "filtering" out with those mask? Does the above world stink? o.o
