To all my fellow FFXI players who pay using WebMoney (in other words, those with JP accts.) :

I last paid my account using WebMoney in early March, prior to the earthquake, through to the end of June on all of my characters. After the earthquake, whenever I brought up the service extension screen, the area where I could previously select a date at the end of the month before was now replaced by a dash. It is now the beginning of June and I STILL cannot pay.

I have logged into my JP PS2 and am running into the same difficulty, so I know that it is not my computer specifically that is the issue.

I have glanced at the Japanese forums and saw there were Webmoney users that were running into the same problem:

Does anyone have any advice on what to do, other than wait? I'm going to go on vacation towards the end of the month, and I'd rather have this settled before I leave.

My Japanese is good enough to get myself into trouble, but any attempt to write in it would probably result in a fine sample of Nipponglish.

(When I called US customer support, they were totally unable to help. They have no access to JP account information other than to confirm that an account exists, nor were they willing to contact JP support on my behalf, since no one on the SE phone line support staff in CA speaks Japanese. At least this time the fellow was nice about it, though, instead of being rude.)
