Question on Gardenining

I wasn't sure if I am just imaging things or not but I planted some plants and forgot to check up on them.

I checked in on them today and they are blooming.

I thought you had to check on them daily or they'd wither and die? Has this been changed? How long can one go without checking on them now? etc.

I don't do much gardening, but it takes longer than a day for them to wither, especially if you somehow have the moghancement:gardening. Not sure what grants this moghancement, but I seem to get it fairly easily, in spite of the fact that I've only tried gardening like 4 times lol

They only die mid-grow if you don't check them at all during their feeding phase, IIRC. Other than that checking them each day just helps improve the yields when you harvest them. SE changed the feed window to be longer a couple updates ago, maybe they also set it up so they don't croak off anymore either(aside from just letting them sit too long once they're ready to pick).

if you stack enough earth furniture you can pretty much neglect 'em till its feeding time.

they will usually bloom, esp with +earth or +gardening, however, you are prolly in for lots of rock salt and little worms come harvest time.
