Not to complain too much but the amount of trolling (posts made to annoy people, argue or spam) on here is getting a little out of hand, can there be a little stronger moderation? Maybe even stern warnings/bans for people continually being trouble makers and ruining this forum for everyone else?

If not that maybe the ability to rate people down so their accounts can eventually become totally unable to create posts and reply, similar to what exists on Allakazham.

The problem with that is most peoples definition of "Trolling" and what constitutes as "arguing". some people who "Argue" are just having heated debates over topics. While it may be a back and forth, most of the time they keep their cool. If they begin using personal attacks, thats when you hit report, because its unproductive.

Its all subjective terms. Most people on these forums (won't name specifically) think anyone who disagrees with them is a "troll". So its hard for these mods to well, moderate correctly. Mostly due in part to what I've just posted.

These forums are teeming with people who apparently have never been online before. They cannot take criticism and any post not completely kneeling over and kissing their rear is "trolling" to them. I don't envy what the GM staff here has to cycle through.

While some obvious bad eggs need to be banned, that subjective too. for one, I think hordecore is a giant troll, but he might just be like 10 and not know any better, GMs have to take that into account, where as we assume "troll".

If anything, i would say moderation is already a bit too heavy as is.

Basically what Karbuncle said. It almost impossible to have a discussion on these forums because part of a discussion is occasionally hearing that you are completely wrong. What happens is people don't know how to take criticism of any kind, be it cynical of not, and mash the report button.

This is what basically is keeping more advanced discussions about the game on other sites besides the "official" ones. There also needs to be user moderators as well SE ones because I think SE is trying to keep everyone including the button mashers happy. If there were user mods they could nuke 90% of the crap that happens here and maybe there would be a thread worth reading besides to laugh at it.

There's nothing wrong with these forums. Everything is working as intended. You're only complaining because a few people disagree with you and therefore you brand them as trolls. Pathetic.

there are plenty of trolls, my fave was the moron who tried to forbid anyone that wasn't an SE developer from responding to his request to have all NMs reserved for his exclusive use. I believe he called it instanced content, but that's what it really ammounted to. It was at least his 3rd thread on the same topic, and the 100th+ thread on that topic.
