Well thats good, thank you for the info, Its not that I think downloading is bad just that I'm the type of person that like to have a hard copy of the game just in-case I don't have internet access or the games gets corrupted

So burn the downloaded copy to a DVD yourself to make a hard copy. It's not like you can't back up the data after you have downloaded it. Steam even breaks the backup into CD or DVD sized files for you if you tell it to, so you can back up the install. Heck, I convert my install discs to ISOs and store them on my external hard drives so I don't have to dig through a huge binder of them every time a game needs installation or needs the disc to run. I just mount the ISO with DaemonTools.

You're limiting yourself in unreasonable ways considering the technology available to you. Also, even if you had a hard copy, FFXI isn't installable on consoles without internet access. PC version is, but then you can't update, so you might as well back up your installation folder to an external drive also.

Yeah it said it was available yesterday but steam wouldn't take my credit card, i'll try again though. Wish it was on amazon cause steam blows.

OK, so I have my codes. I just need to know where to input them. I am on 360 and I know this works my cousin did it on his and now I cant figure out where to redeem them. I spent 3 days on the phone with PoL just to get my damn account back and now this. Irritated is an understatement .... please help me and thank you in advance

If you look at the top right corner of this page, there's some text that reads "Access the Official Site!" click that. After you click that, on the new page in the top right corner will be a red box that says "Square Enix Account Management System" click that next. Now you need to create an SE account/Log in, etc, and you enter codes in there under "Services and Options" > "select service" > "FFXI"
