Aww I was hoping this thread was gonna go to the abyss once it reached page 2! Rats!!!!
nice to see a taru twin.. anyways I would wait till the dyna changes and see if drop rates need reworking.
I got a lot of relic recently that just happen to freefall to me, i am only missing like 2 from xar dnc and something
http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/655...alstatsafm.jpg
yeah last one in each row is for xar so only dnc
Which non-relic/mythic item requires more than one month to complete? That being said.. no item hunt should exceed a month of real
time to acquire
Note: you must be playing the source of this item on a reasonable basis (eg no "Xarc drops suck because we only do it once per month).

welcome to my life! one thing you gotta learn...you mention ANYTHING that has nothing to do with abyssea,is about improving anything that has nothing to do with abyssea, or just something that these people think is"dumb"(which is just about ANY IDEA other than theirs). and you're thread is auto-troll bait thread. i honestly think your ideas would be awesome and help improve dyna but as many people on this forum say"I have no credibility" *laughs*
i have properly read over your OP now when i only skimmed earlier. I think you are right on the dot with every single issue and solution you have offered. hopefully someone reads this from the dev team and considers this stuff.

Well you don't, as my systematic dissection of your posts in the "SE doesn't give a darn about FFXI anymore..." thread pointed out on a number of occasions in a straightforward and thought-out manner. Besides which, it's not just that people think that it's 'dumb', i.e. against their ideas, but that most of us recognize the "this isn't easy enough for me" or "I am a dissatisfied minority" posts and simply point out a logical and simple explanation to counter them. Of course, there are the trolls that just turn it into a large-scale joke to your discredit (not that help is needed there) but for the most part, many of us are just pointing out that you're doing the same thing, yelling at us for disagreeing with you.
Now, to avoid a derail (much as I feel this topic deserves one, I prefer not to change subjects too much) let me address the OP regarding each of their points/problems listed at the beginning of this thread that I feel I can respond to, as Greatguardian tried to do before you tore him down much in the same manner as Krystal does when someone disagrees in a well-mannered and polite response.
Problem #1 - Xarc drop rates
As a player who has also seen Xarc drops pre- and post-update, I feel this has been fixed. In the last run I went on, four Dchaps dropped (and naturally I didn't win even one of them.) along with two pairs of TH hands, not to mention the other amazing number of other AF drops. I don't think anyone went home emptyhanded except for those who tossed the extra stuff no one wanted. My point is that the drop rates are fine; you may have been unlucky, but with the drop rates as they are now, you should easily be seeing a lot of AF. Keep at it, the patch has made it a lot easier!
Problem #2 - Camped this guy too for a while before just giving in and buying the dang pact. x_x That being said, if you were keeping a "vigilant watch" on the other NMs, that meant you were constantly moving between the different camps, and it's possible that someone might have snagged him or happened to have snagged one of the other three by chance. Unfortunately that's just more bad luck that you can't do much about. Also don't forget that he is a true lottery spawn - there are instances of completely horrible bad luck, because with this system, the mob has a % chance of spawning in place of the PH. Let's say it was... oh, 10%, as a given example. For each of the PHs you could have had sheer bad luck because you can hit anywhere in the range of 11-100 instead of 1-10. That's just lotto pop NMs for you!
Problem #3 - Um... correct me if I'm wrong, but going for three days without sleep was your fault. As it is, that's just completely terrible luck. x_x I was lucky enough that I was bored on my BST and went to get it for a Primal Rend setup, he just happened to be up and boom, 1/1 on the earring. I had a friend go like 0/23 on him before finally getting a drop though, so sometimes it's just bad luck...
Problem #4 - As you stated, this was before the "Dynamis Reborn" thread, so I'll leave this be.
Jumping ahead a bit, policy's not my strong point...
Problem #9 - This one is just a "gimme gimme" problem. You're asking them to just hand you something for absolutely nothing on your part, while people went to actual real events and took the time in order to get these things. By saying "just give it to me" you pretty much just said "screw y'all, I want what you've got so I don't care what you did to get it." My apologies for being so straightforward but that's how I'm seeing it.
Problem #11 - Weather is based purely on the seasons of the game, m'friend. I've noticed the trend in Aht Urghan for wind weather seems to come up most during the spring seasons (April-June Vana'diel time, use /clock to check the in-game date) so when I see that we're coming up to that part of the year I tend to put down whatever I'm doing to get my trials done because I know weather will be very common for an area that a lot of evasion trials use. If I don't care to wait for the weather? I simply go somewhere on Windsday. So it's one objective a kill, I finished a few trials back before they even made the changes to weather, I can endure them again.

One thing I will never understand are posters who oscillate between "Abyssea made everything easy, no one earns levels and players suck" and "Dynamis drop rates suck, make it easier to get stuff".
Like, they really should be mutually exclusive points. I don't get it.
The OP's complaints about just about everything just reek of crap. "Wah it took me 7 years to get a RDM hat". Is that because of the game? Or because of you / your linkshell? I've had RDM90 for, I don't know, 3 months now and I have a Duelist's Chapeau. A friend of mine just came back from the game after a 3 year break, leeched THF from 60 to 90 (ignoring his previous 75s of Rdm and Rng), and got Assassin Armlets free lot with my shell after like a month =/. Shit's not hard.
Lottery spawns. They suck. So what? New content has been moving further and further away from the bullshit that was Rise of the Zilart 72-hour NMs and PH/lottery spawns. Timed spawns in Abyssea respawn every 15 minutes, and everything else is force popped. ZNMs are all force popped. VNMs are all force popped. Voidwalkers look to be force popped. Is Leaping Lizzie really relevant enough in 2011 to warrant a change?
Drop rates. These suck too. Get over it. Abyssea's Weakness Trigger system has been the best thing to happen to the game's drop rates in 10 years. Thief has received huge TH bonuses as well. If you want something to drop, you can now manipulate the NM and make it drop. The game is moving forward. I could care less about the fact that I'm 0/100+ on Mee Deggi the Punisher, and 0/50+ on Poisonhand Gnagdag. Btw, I threw away my Moldavite Earring the second I finished my Novio/Hecate's pair.
Good lord. It's just completely ass-backwards to see the "Anti-leech" crowd complaining about time sinks. It's okay to make players level up at 5k exp/hour, but it's not okay to make them actually clear Dynamis zones with TH if they want drops? It's not like drop rates are low any more, either. My shell's basically been flooring Dyna-Tav drops that aren't THF hands or RDM hat. Heck, our last Hydra Haubert went to a guy who just leveled WAR like last week (no PLD at all), because we've gotten so many of them. I still have a screenshot of two Hauberts in the same pool, and it used to be one of the rarest drops in the entire game (my shell had something like the 3rd on our entire server waaay back in the day).
Skill affects your ability to get drops out of zones more than anything else. If you aren't clearing the zone, you're wasting potential drops. If you go in with too many people, you're screwing yourself by having to compete with 30 other people for drops. If you're wiping, or dying, or are unable to handle more than 1 Eye at a time, you're wasting time and potential drops.
There's nothing wrong with a game that rewards players with IQs greater than potato.
Edit: D'oh, beaten while I was typing this out.
I will have my revenge!
