The glows on a summoner's avatars looks fine. I've always wanted to have a similar glow on a weapon, and now we finally have one. Unfortunately, only a few jobs can use it.
Hey SE! Give us more weapons with glowing auras, please! At least one such weapon for every job! ^_^
I think you meant "opinion" and not "option," there, but I agree. Most FFXI players don't seem to have the slightest clue what WoW is like at all. They all really need to stop whining so much. Adding a few things that also happen to be in WoW doesn't make FFXI into a WoW clone. FFXI is still very unique and very different from WoW, even after all the recent changes its gone through, and adding glowing weapons doesn't change that. If you want to know what a WoW clone REALLY looks like, then look at Rift. THAT'S a real WoW clone.

If DNC and COR can equip, why not THF also? We have sword skills, why the 2nd class citizen treatment?
Down with PS2 Emulation / Give us PS3 Native software
It is a rapier. Thiefs cannot equip rapiers, while dancer and corsair can.
This sword is for melee rdm and for avesta to solo AV.
