How is this easier? How is this even different? Because we can now give our position without having to check an online map? The way you say it makes it seem like navigating a map is a challenge to you.

It's been said plenty of times before, annoyance isn't the same as challenge. Not having a map doesn't make the game any harder, just more annoying. I'm all for introducing harder NMs, gimping Abyssea buffs, restoring the game to the level of challenge it once presented. This? Not even close. Good thing they're looking into it.

I agree with those saying we don't need to be able to check how long we have left in Dynamis. We get reminders every so often, so I don't see why this would need to be changed. However, it's not a "challenge" to be left without maps in Dynamis; it's just annoying, like many others said. We just want to see where the rest of our party is.

In short: All we're asking for is the maps. Don't want anything else changed, thanks Square-Enix.

    I second the bold part.

As for maps, we are also looking into the possibility of displaying maps while in Dynamis. Currently, no maps exist for these areas, we would like to create them.
Thank you Camate for replying in this thread. I really appreciate SE communicating with us quickly, and letting us know what can and can't be done, and why.

I would agree that a map should be possible, it really has 0 barring on the difficulty/placement etc of the mobs. I'll admit i am a chronic /map user, even when i know where i'm going and how to get there super easily, it's just a habit to type /map. And it's rather annoying to type /map in a zone that already has a map (as all the dyna zones do) and not get a map. I mean even in areas where things have changed some (battalia downs (s) to name one) there is a map you do not even have to buy, it's just there and it's the exact same as Battalia downs. I don't see how making a map of the dynamis zones (is it really any harder then copy/pasting the current map, maybe removing the word 'outpost' or names of places of business?) would change the game dynamic in any way. For the time referance, some of us like to know when to stop killing things so that everyone can get the item passed, and if you don't see the '3 minutes remaining' warning things can be lost, since we are dealing with human beings and none of us are perfect, it does happen. Perhaps a 10 minute interval could work?(I think salvage already does something similar, haven't done it enough to remember the intervals) or something like in Assaults. Telling us at 50% time remaining (15 mins for most assaults) then again at 5 mins (not sure what % that is) and then one minute then 30 sec and then 10 sec.

I've been beating this dead horse for YEARS in my shell "MOVE"! ok, um... where? With a brand new dynamis system this is even more of an issue, since we are making up the strategy as we go along. In addition, with the fast repops you really DO need to move, but a destination is undefined. We haven't even found the safe camps yet, and without Atma Refresh and rest are back in play, even if players have forgotten what that's like.

Before this adjustment to Dynamis I was okay with not having a map. It made the event different, and required me to actually stick with the group. And if not, then at least stay in communication with them. The absence of a map promoted communication among players.

Now, anyone can enter Dynamis. Low man groups from all over go in, and I saw a full alliance of LS members doing Dynamis - Beaucedine the other day. But more noteworthy are the shouts for different Dynamis areas. Shout groups can go really well, or they can go really bad. Mostly due to miscommunication and a lack of understanding on a player's part.

Eliminate the possibility of miscommunication and the hassle of getting a new addition to the group inside Dynamis. Allow for players to be able to see where their party members are on the map. I know Windurst Walls, South San d'Oria, Bastok Mines, Ru'Lude Gardens, Beaucedine, Xarcabard, Valkurm, Buburimu, Qufim, and Tavnazia better than some of you know your own Mog Houses. But the position of my party is a changing dynamic throughout the event, I cannot possibly know that like I know those areas. And if I'm a new addition to the team, I'd rather not pester someone for directions on how to get to the group.

Adding maps to Dynamis is the best thing they could do since they've made it much more casual. Before their modifications it was a subtle inconvenience and just added a layer of communication that an occasional new addition to the team would have to sift through. Now, however, it is much more than occasional that a new member is added to a group.

If they had no maps for Abyssea, the same people vouching for no maps here would've vouched for maps in Abyssea. Why? To be able to find their group.

    /thread.

Uhh, what? Have you seen the new Dynamis?
There's plenty of time for you to /heal, in fact many people do this out of habit because of Abyssea.
Battles aren't very long, other than a few of the force-pop NMs, and definitely not constant enough for anyone to not have 2 seconds to /heal.

Either way, map would be lovely.

If you are so annoyed with the mechanics and other aspects of the game, then why do you even bother paying your montly fees? It's like paying someone to piss you off if you ask me.
People keep complaining about content this or content that, yet they forget that WoW has tons of content [at least one expansion every 2yrs] and yet people quit that game at alarming rates! I played WoW for a couple of months, and just got bored of it, bored to the point of not even getting interested on going back; wait... I'm lying, I went back when FFXI went down due to the JP earthquakes, and after a week I was ready to kick myself in the nutts for playing it.

Ah another ***: "if you don't like a singular, specific aspect of the game, leave" post. Can't say I'm impressed. If you didn't like things before abyssea (which I doubt you played back then with this kind of post), then you should've quit then and not whined that things were too hard and gave birth to abyssea in the first place. Oh wait...that's exactly what is happening now but in reverse. Take the half-***, derailment posts elsewhere. I've got little patience for them (especially off-topic ones that have absolutely nothing to do with adding dynamis maps). "Just the map, that is all that is being asked for." Where in my post did I say I was against it? Nowhere.
