What do you mean, the people making jokes about "lol don't make ff11 easier it'll be like wow"?

That's because he thinks WoW is hard.
The challenge argument is very different from the convenience argument. As people pointed out, finding your way around zones isn't hard (ironically the same people who say it should be a challenge). It's just inconvenient. It doesn't require some sophisticated tactics, good gear and skills to be pulled off, just a sense of direction and good communication. If someone describes the wrong place in Dynamis - Xarcabard, you don't find it, no matter how good your skills are. It would simply enhance the flow of the game.
If you think missing maps are challenging, why not remove maps from other zones too? Why not remove means of teleportation, when it's "harder" to walk? It's the same thing, it wouldn't be more challenging, just inconvenient.
All affirmations are true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense, and true and false and meaningless in some sense.

Not having a map does not equal challenge. It's just annoying how I can't see where my other party members are or if I want to put marks on my map for the new ??? location.
I guess some people view sticking together as part of the challenge while others realize splitting up is part of the challenge.
If you get split from your group by "accident" I can't say I have any sympathy but if you're smart enough to split into groups to complete the objective then you shouldn't be unable to re-find each other because your character isn't smart enough to use a map they already have. Towns aren't much of a problem because you know the easy to figure out landscape. That's true, so what's the problem with allowing map-usage again?
I know Beaucadine like I know my mog house moogle (he's my slave, I have to know what he's trying to hide at all times) but, does that mean everyone has my navigational prowess? No and if we're separated, I can't really help them other than naming landmarks they probably don't even know about.
Why doesn't dynamis have maps? Beats the hell out of me, may as well not be maps anywhere else in the game either.
Maps would be nice. People are getting lost during our run now and we're having trouble getting everyone together. ._.
Position ?-? x_x
Makes no real sense to be unable to pull up a map over a region that is identical to a different region that you do have a map over.
