    Acquiring Allied Notes

I'm not sure if this had been suggested, but I was wondering if it would be possible to gain Allied Notes by fighting normal mobs in the past. You can gain Conquest Points by fighting normal mobs in the present and you can also gain Sanction Points by fighting normal mobs outside Whitegate etc, but Allied Notes can only be gained through Campaign battles and Ops. Sometimes I like to level on mobs in the past. It would be really nice if I could get Allied Notes just like I would Conquest or Sanction in the other areas. I understand this would probably require a change in the promotion process, but it would maybe bring some more people into the past, which seems to have become a forgotten zone as of late. I know SE said they will be making changes to Campaign, I just hope this is something they can consider implementing as well

There's only two ways og getting allied notes and they be:

Campaign Ops (you get seven credits per week)
Campaign Battles (you can do them anytime you want, just depends on you having a valid medal to join it. Ops also do require the medal.)

It's done this way to encourage people into doing these activities. Sadly campaign battles are pretty much unplayable with the current server population/lack of interest, considering that mobs are overpowered (they expected players to come in droves to clash the mobs, just like in Besieged so it has a similar battle balance as that of Besieged).

^^ True, but you can still get Sanction Points outside of doing Besieged and rescuing NPC's. This is all I ask of Allied Notes, I would like to get them outside of Campaign Battles and Ops.

I don't think making regular mobs in the past give allied notes is necessarily a bad idea. I just wonder how often do I find myself actually in the past now except for VNM's? I use to be there often before they gimped campaign and before abyssea. Campaign for the most part has died since. Untill they fix Campaign and make it rewarding and enjoyable again I don't think making mobs drop allied notes would matter much. If they do however, I think it would be great ^^.
P.S They should bring back skill ups on Campaign mobs again too.

Allied notes from regular monsters don't *really* make sense, considering you're at war, and hired by the military. Why should the military pay you for slaughtering non-combating bunnies and plants?

It makes sense, but it's still a bit annoying. Maybe they'll sort it out with the campaign changes they plan on doing.

You could say the same thing about Conquest Points and Sanction Points.

I don't really feel that it's necessary. I've always had far more Allied Notes than I could ever spend, even long after I stopped doing Campaign Battles. It all comes from Campaign Ops, which I do 7 of weekly, whenever possible. They are great experience for the low level jobs that you don't want to level, but want to have them leveled. :P I've got 17 jobs to 50+ (I want to get them all to 50 or higher to quest all the AF, just cuz I like doing AF quests, and quests in general), and many of them got leveled mainly through Campaign Ops and Miratete's Memoirs (from Secrets of Ovens Lost, Spice Gals, and Uninvited Guests, with the rare occasional Escort for Hire).

And now, with Instant Retrace scrolls lowered to 10 Allied Notes instead of 500... there's no way I could ever spend enough to lose Allied Notes. They just keep going up. XD

And to the above post: No, you can't say the same thing about CP/IS. The whole point of conquest is to kill *anything* that gives exp, because it gives your nation points to take over the region. And with Imperial Standing, as a mercenary you're taking care of the monster/beastmen populations since the army is too busy at war with the Far East to handle it themselves. :P
