Mythics are not only more difficult, but also take longer to obtain.

That, and they were almost immediately outclassed by Empy weapons... You had 5+ years to get a relic weapon, you had like 1-2 to get a mythic -- and they were significantly harder to get.

Also: Most mythics are definitly NOT outclassed by empyreans. Primarily all the non melee job's mythics.

Bard, whm, blm, rdm, so on and so forth. Also, dancer's mythic is one of the best in the game now, especially with the enhancement to climactic flourish. I'd take terpsichore over twashtar any day.

But who the hell builds a mythic for its stats. you build a mythic to say "I have a mythic, and you don't, neenerneenerneener =P"
