I think a lot of people misunderstood me in that last thread. I would really like It if NM were instance so I am not wasting so much time online or something similar.
(Especially in a timed zoned it just makes me want quit again)

I shouldn't have to wait until someone else pops a NM and kills it before my group has a chance at it. l really want my kannagi.
BTW I don't need to any discussion on this, this post is for the developers so please don't post in my thread if you are not a se employee.

You can't expect people not to respond. This is a public forum. If you don't want a discussion, don't post. Simple. We all have an investment in SE since we have paid them month after month, year after year. We may not be employees or Developers, but in a way we are shareholders. Make a trade macro, easy to do, easy to use. When you get your kannagi, jump up and down with joy knowing you put the time and effort into it.

I don't care how its done or limited in this game, its still instanced = team A wont ever meet team B in the same area, this how its interpreted to all other MMOs communicates.

Calling it instanced doesn't make it instanced, regardless of how you word it. I repeat, go learn what the word means before throwing it around. Nothing in FFXI is instanced nor will it ever be instanced. Team C is still sitting outside waiting because Team A and Team B are inside. I'm on one side of Port Jeuno near the Signet Taru, another person is near the Mog House entrance. I can't see him, so he must be in an instanced area. No, stop spewing nonsense.

You need to relax, unplug, and find some other NM to kill if people don't want to cooperate with each other.

Yes, there are still "claim bots" out there, because the botters have been living with them for so long that it has become a drug to them, they forgot how to play this game without the bots doing everything for them.

Are there botters all of the place? Probably not. You might find one or two linkshells on every server whose members are majority botters, but even then those players are getting out of the game because now that you don't need a bot to play this game to its fullest, they quit because of various reason, one of my favorites is "FFXI is too easy now that other people have better gear than me" excuse.

As for terminology, both of you guys are correct, and both of you are wrong at the same time. Terms have different meanings to different people, so just accept that your idea of what "instanced" means is correct in your mind and move on with your life.

Enjoy the way you play this game, and don't let others dictate how you play your game, otherwise you will not like playing this game anymore and quit. Nobody really wants other players to quit this game, not at this stage of its life.

People being people expect cheats and straight play and every variation in between. But ??? claiming really is extremely easy, the enemy there for PC players is connection speed and latency, which all amount to lag. The same exploit was used for years to clean certain vendors of limited items out every JP midnite, because the trade point would appear several seconds earlier in Japan than in the US (Cotton crafting, ugh...), and then they would put the item up at highly inflated prices on the AH.

If you want to get rid of the "botters" assume they have no patience. When you do get claim, take your time to kill, I'm talking 45+ minutes. Everyone that screams at you to hurry up, find room for on your /blist. Get all 3 procs, make a special point of never letting it go back to unclaimed because they may ninja it (if they try, feel free to do the same, the golden rule). Kite to an out of the way place so that if they didn't bring a bst or a rng they have no idea what's happening, just the ??? is never repopping. And if you really want to be a jag, do it again with the repop.

contents like assault are design differently in a clever way to make them look 100% "separated" , it doesn't matter how it was design here or in any other game, what matter is the idea, the concept of "separation" the OP is talking about usually referred as "instance", I'll call it here "FFXI instance" .

this type of content the "FFXI instance" will continue to exist and implemented.

My only issue with popped items is people bot popping, I've had my run in on people bot popping the Lizzard in Mis. coast Abyssea and Chloris.

And you can tell when they do it especially when the ??? appears a second and its gone, I can't compete against people who do that and i cannot GM because what proof do I have other than them staring at the ground where the ??? used to be.

You don't have to not pop to do that. Just set a macro.

This is not the definitition of instanced. The implementation is what makes it instanced or not. It's only instanced if any group can just go in and do something without any interference- the servers create a private little world for those people. That is not what FFXI does, and other people CAN interfere with your ability to do a BC fight or assault by being in there and preventing you from going in. True instancing does not have a significantly limited capacity. In FFXI, when some BCNM or other similar event is new and popular, you often have to compete with other groups to get in. That doesn't happen in a game with actual instancing.
