Calling it instanced doesn't make it instanced, regardless of how you word it. I repeat, go learn what the word means before throwing it around. Nothing in FFXI is instanced nor will it ever be instanced. Team C is still sitting outside waiting because Team A and Team B are inside. I'm on one side of Port Jeuno near the Signet Taru, another person is near the Mog House entrance. I can't see him, so he must be in an instanced area. No, stop spewing nonsense.

To the question on how I can see if someone is locked on a ??? when there are no ???s at the time. Because you can see their Character's head looking straight downward as if they are locked to something on the ground. Unless my Xbox doesn't pick up that there could be a treasure chest there, I don't know.

Everyone says they play on PS2/Xbox when stuff like this comes up.

If you see people looking at something that isn't there they arent looking at something that isn't there, they are looking at a mob somewhere close or a box.

Oh golly gee willikers your sarcasm sucks and its not needed, I was just stating things what I see sometimes I'm not upset about people beating me to pops, I'm quite patient. I was told by many people that pop bots do exist and I might have ran into some but i am not accusing everyone for doing it. You don't have to be so rude.

It wasn't solely directed at you either. The people telling you there are pop bots everywhere most likely don't know anything about bots and the bot "industry". I'm no insider either, but I know enough to know that the market is absolute crap for FFXI bot-makers right now and there's no real demand for them. Clipper/Radar/PosHacks? Sure. But claimbots? No, not really.

Bots have always been a scapegoat for being slow/missing a claim in FFXI. Even when everything that matters is force popped, that isn't going to change. People are just going to go on blaming everything but themselves for their own lack of claim.

I hate to admit it but if you really are playing on xbox, with what I assume to be a controller, then that's why you're losing. Keyboard is going to beat you, PC is going to beat you. Xbox is for convenience and comfort not for precision and beating some one else to the punch. There's this magic key called f8 that targets the closest npc in front of your character. If you're using a keyboard on xbox, PC is still going to beat you in performance and timing. You're complaining that people are faster than you (and making false assumptions) when they are indeed, faster than you.

I think a lot of people misunderstood me in that last thread. I would really like It if NM were instance so I am not wasting so much time online or something similar.
(Especially in a timed zoned it just makes me want quit again)

I shouldn't have to wait until someone else pops a NM and kills it before my group has a chance at it. l really want my kannagi.

You can't expect people not to respond. This is a public forum. If you don't want a discussion, don't post. Simple. We all have an investment in SE since we have paid them month after month, year after year. We may not be employees or Developers, but in a way we are shareholders. Make a trade macro, easy to do, easy to use. When you get your kannagi, jump up and down with joy knowing you put the time and effort into it.

You need to relax, unplug, and find some other NM to kill if people don't want to cooperate with each other.

Yes, there are still "claim bots" out there, because the botters have been living with them for so long that it has become a drug to them, they forgot how to play this game without the bots doing everything for them.

Are there botters all of the place? Probably not. You might find one or two linkshells on every server whose members are majority botters, but even then those players are getting out of the game because now that you don't need a bot to play this game to its fullest, they quit because of various reason, one of my favorites is "FFXI is too easy now that other people have better gear than me" excuse.

As for terminology, both of you guys are correct, and both of you are wrong at the same time. Terms have different meanings to different people, so just accept that your idea of what "instanced" means is correct in your mind and move on with your life.

Enjoy the way you play this game, and don't let others dictate how you play your game, otherwise you will not like playing this game anymore and quit. Nobody really wants other players to quit this game, not at this stage of its life.
