    Welcome to Forum: In-Game Bugs!

The purpose of this forum is to collect reports on issues that users have experienced in the game. To make FINAL FANTASY XI a better game, we would like to ask for your cooperation.

Development and operation teams will regularly monitor this forum and will give feedback on reported issues after they confirm the details. The thread will be locked once feedback has been made on the reported issue. In case there is insufficient detail included in the report, we may make a response asking for more details to be added.

Please carefully read and adhere to the following rules and FINAL FANTASY XI Forum Guidelines(North America/UK) before posting.

    General Forum Rules:
Please refer to the following thread: http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxi/threads/67

    Rules on in-Game Bugs:
    • Please be sure to include all necessary information when making a bug report. (Date and time, location, name of NPC, skill/ability you have used, name of item you have used, steps on how it occurred, etc.)
    • Use proper English and avoid slang, abbreviations or improper terms. If Square Enix staff cannot understand what you have reported, the issue cannot be addressed.
    • In case you find a critical bug, which could harm the game balance, please report it directly through an in-game GM call instead. Avoid personally investigating the bug by purposely repeating it. Taking advantage of a game bug is a violation of the user agreement and is subject to sanctions.
    • If you wish to report a bug that you have encountered within the forum, you can do so by creating a post on the sub-forum "Website Bugs" under the "WEBSITE FEEDBACK."
    • The following posts are considered to be improper and are subject for deletion.
      • Posts suggesting to take advantage of the game bug
      • Posts that have nothing to do with the reported bug
      • Re-posting a thread from another forum
      • Posts requesting for the progress or status on the investigation of reported issue
    • In case you wish to report multiple issues, please do not report them in a single thread. Report them individually.
    • To prevent multiple threads on similar issues, please refrain from creating a new thread on a similar topic. However if you have additional details regarding the on-going issue, please provide them by replying to the thread.

    Example:
Thread Title: While under the effect of Slow , Backhand Blow will not initiate

    Platform: Windows
    ISP: Optimum Online
    Type of Internet Connection: CATV
    Internet Connection Speed: 15Mbps
    Date & Time: Feb. 6, 2011 21:42 EST
    Frequency: Once (did not reproduce)
    Character Name: Ffximike
    Race: ElvaanM
    World: Alexander
    Main Job: Monk, Lv.80
    Support Job: Ninja
Area and Coordinates: Pashhow Marshlands [S], J-9
Party or Solo: Party with 4 members
    NPC Name: None
    Monster Name: Croque-mitaine
    Steps:
    1. We were camping in Pashhow Marshlands [S], waiting for the NM Croque-mitaine to spawn. At around 20:30 EST, it spawned.
    2. About 8 minutes into the battle, the NM used the weapon skill “Blow” and my character received the effect of Slow.
    3. About a minute later, the TP gauge of my character became 100% and I attempted to initiate “Backhand Blow” by using the macro(/ws < Backhand Blow > < t >).
    4. However, the effect of Backhand Blow didn’t appear and wasn’t displayed in the log and the TP gauge remained the same.
    5. Attempted to initiate Backhand Blow again by selecting it manually from the battle menu but the result was still the same.
    6. We finished off the NM with Garuda’s “Predator Claws” that our Summoner has summoned.
    7. I fought the same NM at around 19:20 EST on Feb. 1st, 2011 but at that time, I was able to initiate “Backhand Blow” even when “Slow” was in effect.

*Please note that this is an EXAMPLE only and is not an actual bug report.
