Could be "AoE food" Similar to the food you get with your NPC, or "Party food", that only works with you and your pet.

It would actually work for Summoners, since SE was dumb enough to add this perpetuation system, linking Summoner and avatar. Eating brain food would then make you able to summon a higher level avatar.
