    Presistent Connection Issues

I'm creating a new thread because I am still experiencing this issue, and I'm not done voicing my concerns and occurrences until someone actually looks into this on SE's end, since it seems from other posts that Verizon has nothing they can do about it.

    - Platform (PC, PS, Mac, Steam, Switch etc.): I'm playing on PC, no Steam.

    - Any error codes or messages you receive upon disconnect (if any): FFXI-3201 is prominent when trying to log in but only comes up after getting hung up on "Notifying lobby of character selection" on a previous attempt at logging in; FFXI-3001 occurs when finally getting passed the "Notifying lobby of character selection" and getting to the black "Downloading Info" loading screen; POL-0011 after being disconnected and trying to log back in on the first attempt

    - Type of connection (wired or wireless): Wireless

    - Other programs running while the game is playing (if any): Has varied. Issue has occurred with and without other apps open, but other apps included Firefox and Discord.

    - Frequency at which error occurs: Unable to stay connecting for longer than one hour typically, and the errors and ability to reconnect persist for about 10-15 minutes before finally letting me back on, if it does at all.

    - Does the disconnection happen to one character or multiple characters?: Has happened on every character on account

    - Is a VPN being used when this occurs?: No

    - Where in game do you get disconnected?: Varies. Has occurred in Port Jeuno when just standing there, when zoning into or taking an action in Mog Garden, West Adoulin just standing there, when zoning into Outer Ra'Kaznar from the waypoint teleport, Southern San d'Oria when just standing there, when zoning into La Theine via Dimensional Ring, when zoning in Eschan portals in Reisenjima

    - What ISP Is being used?: Verizon FiOS

    - What have you tried so far to alleviate the issue?: Restarted computer, reset router, closed applications, ran file check via Final Fantasy XI Config settings upon logging in

Additionally, I can further add that some of these instances of disconnects occurred after the following actions in-game:

    * Zoning into the Mog Garden
    * Zoning using a Warp Ring or Dimensional Ring
    * Using an Eschan Portal in Escha zones or Reisenjima
    * Doing an /sea command and results not populating near-immediately
    * Browsing the Auction House and selecting to view an item's purchase history, and results not populating, preventing further browsing of the Auction House until zoning has occurred, at which point the disconnect happens abruptly thereafter

I am still not convinced that this is not on Verizon's end but rather is something to do with SE's servers based on the number of reports players have submitted that have been, in my opinion, ignored and disregarded.

I don't think it's much to ask that, for as many reports that have been filed, a basic review of the update patch and the server statuses takes place to determine if there are any issues, and if there are for them to be rectified. Because otherwise, Verizon does not seem to have any solution or resolution to this issue, and players should not have to resort to using a VPN to play a video game that, up until just the other day, was working perfectly fine. Something clearly has broken, and it is interfering with players' abilities to play the game, including disconnecting at crucial moments during gameplay such as when fighting HELM NM's in Reisenjima (as happened to myself and several other party members this evening, all at separate but fairly similar times [within five minutes of one another]), or in Dynamis-Divergence areas, or other time-restricted content.

Please, we are just asking to be heard and considered. Check the servers and take action, it isn't fair to the players who are paying to play this game that we are now suddenly unable to enjoy it as we did earlier this week.

Yeah Verizon got back to me on my end and told me there were no outages in the east , so its SE things last week it was folks with Coaxial based internets and now its Verizon
You moderators need to stop closing unsolved tickets until things are solved.

Agreed, as it seems like its only one of the moderators who is doing that without providing any actual support. Its rather odd.

Regardless, I would suggest filing a ticket with the NA Support Center and correspond with them over email, because the end result for me was them telling me to contact the ISP; perhaps if you tell them you've spoken with them and they've reported no outages, they'll take it a step further. I will attempt to call Verizon today myself if I get the chance, so that I can follow up with my ticket and say as much, though based on the communication up until now with them, I don't know that they're actually listening to what's been told to them.

The most recent, canned response that I received from a customer service agent -- after presenting links to every thread posted in the past few days pertaining to this issue -- instructed me to post a Bug Report in the In-Game Bugs subforum, found here. I have done so, but I still continue to recommend that others post their experiences here and there, as well as creating a ticket with the support service. With any luck, the In-Game Bugs will provide a result, but I am not holding my breath, to be honest.

It would seem now, after several days of mostly stability, that even VPNs are beginning to show some issues; I've been disconnected from the game a total of 3 times in the last twelve hours, including twice in the span of 45 minutes last night. I am continuing to echo the calls for attention to this matter from the moderators and ask that someone be notified of this issue, because even if the issue lies outside of SE's servers and Verizon's servers, it still has only begun to occur since the last update and it's now been a week since these issues began.

I myself went a different route and instead of doing the VPN I decided to tether off my phone that had a whole different other service provider this done said I am still experiencing disconnect myself
