Expanded free trial is live

The Expanded free trial is now live. The time limit is unlimited like FFXIV instead of just 14 days, and the level cap is now 75 instead of 50.

There are currently a number of restrictions:

1) Character limit - Free trial accounts can have up to 3 characters at a time.

2) Level 75 cap - Jobs available in the free trial can be leveled to 75. Jobs introduced in expansion packs are not available in the free trial.

3) Area restrictions - Free trial players will only be able to access areas included in the original FINAL FANTASY XI release.

4) Auction usage - Free trial players will not be able to place items up for auction, place bids on auctions, or view items up for auction.

5) Gil limit - Free trial players can hold up to a maximum of 100,000 gil.

6) Trading and bazaar - Free trial players cannot trade with other players or use the bazaar feature to buy or sell items.

7) Party Invitations - Free trial players cannot invite other players to a party. However, free trial players can join parties when invited.

8) Mog House Delivery Box - Free trial players cannot use the Mog House Delivery Box feature.

9) Tell/shout/yell - Free trial players cannot use the /tell, /shout, or /yell chat channels. However, they can chat within a party and reply to /tell messages from other players.

10) World Transfer Service - Free trial accounts cannot use the World Transfer Service.

11) Mentor - Free trial characters cannot become mentors.

12) Unity Concord - Free trial characters cannot take part in Unity Concord.

SE please please please include Rise of the Zilart with the trial. FFXI without Zilart is a very empty game.

So, I actually had a free trial account. When I came back to XI in 2018, I activated the game, but not through the account I was playing on........ooof......

So, I had two accounts. Paid & free trial.

Decided to play around with it last free login event. Well, I found a cruel joke this past summer. Players can indeed do the rhapsodies mission for the 4th Trust. However, after the player turns in their bee pollen or mandy sprouts......They are unable to go to Norg (Obviously) lol.

A little savage eh? Can do the quest, talk to the NPC who takes you to Norg....but can't actually go lmao.

On the subject of Zilart, perhaps it should be included. Getting food for example, will be very difficult for newbs on the trial account due to the curio moogle.

Should be able to go everywhere. The only restrictions should be gil and shout related. No ah no trades no bazaars and keep the cap.

Zero reason to limit any of the zones, the point is to see the game.
