    Storage partition

Idea: Posts on BG have inspired this request, so you know it's not a bad request. Can we receive partitioned inventories? SE and other sources have disclosed that increasing storage capacity beyond 80 is impossible due to limitations, but has alleviated worries by saying that SE can create more mechanisms for storage. In other words, SE can create multiple types of storage with a maximum of 80 slots. Given this capability, it makes sense to partition space. Examples of this include inventory dedicated to equipment, furniture, consumables, synthesis materials, Bazaar, and other items.

    Benefits:
    * It allows us to shift through inventory faster; we no longer have to scroll through consumables to reach equipment
    * We'll be more inclined to purchase furniture
    * If we can keep synthesis materials and other small items without compromising the acquisition of other items, we're more likely to hold onto those items; bazaars can become prominent for selling material people are unlikely to waste their time and inventory selling on the AH
    * For syntheses requiring non-synthesis materials such as equipment, more syntheses are allowed and there is less cluttering; furthermore, you can craft en masse without worrying about having to store all their gear (i.e. they're ready for battle even when after mass crafting)

    Consequences:
    * People need to use old storage mechanisms in order to synthesis items where the ingredients are a mix of equipment and synthesis materials
    * People are more inclined to lot on items they do not need since they have more inventory to hold items (You're less likely to lot that piece of gear you do not need if it puts you at 80/80 and you need another piece of gear from the run)
    * It is a lot of work for the dev team(?)
    * It would require rewiring how we transfer items. Lets say I have X Boots in my mog safe. I would either need to put the boots in my inventory and then move them from my inventory to the equipment inventory or have some direct method of transferring them to the equipment inventory. Either way, it makes changing somewhat slower than normal.

Do you mean like having certain items set up (orange) like temporary items in nyzul/abyssea where they are excluded from your real inventory but still accessible? Not sure how they would implement it, but it would be amazing. Most of my inventory is taken up by pop items, food and ninja tools. (if I have to use it as a sub) I'd understand if they didn't want to do it for tangible gear, but for any item that is considered consumable it would be really awesome.

I'd also like to see customizable folders ( similar to macro books) in my MH. so when I need to change a job I can gear up without forgetting something.

It wouldn't be temporary items since I imagine that would be too much work for the Dev team. It would simply be more slots dedicated to specific types of items. The difference between this idea and simply adding more types of inventory like Mog Satchel is that you can use the item from these partitioned inventories. They could even rewire the program such that using items from the battle menu shows brings up your "Consumable" inventory only. And when you're equipping gear, it could just bring up gear from the Equipment inventory only. These changes should also help GMs by reducing the number of instances in which a person accidentally drops equipment because they meant to drop equipment they no longer need.
