Steps:
In FFXICONFIG set window mode to fullscreen & resolution to 640x480.
Launch POL & the game.
Change aspect ratio in title screen settings (not in-game.) from the default 4:3
Log into the game and exit.
Start the game again and you'll see, at the title screen, 4:3 again.

This happens ever since the last update, result is that the title screen will never have the correct aspect ratio, as I play with 640x480 output with graphics accelerator settings "stretch to full screen" (I have a 5:4 monitor.)
Before, I would set FFXI to 5:4 in both title screen and misc2 settings.
Now only the in-game aspect ratio is correct.
