Her Memories: Azure Footfalls Problem

Hello,

I am allied with Bastok and have followed the bg-wiki guide for WotG missions and Crystal War quests. I have selected only the Bastok quests and I have the Excelsis Ring. I have three Large Memory Fragments from the missions 41-1, 41-2, 41-3. My current WotG mission is Her Memories. My Crystal War completed quests show Her Mem: Home Queen, Old Bean, Faux Pas, Grave Resolve, Operation Cupid, Malign Maladies.

I went through the steps for Azure Footfalls but when I return to Adelbrecht I do not receive the fourth Large Memory Fragment. He tells me "What are you doing soldier? Head over to the next window and speak with Aurelius on the double!". When I speak with Aurelius, he only presents some informational options to me.

I have repeated all of the steps, waited until the next day and repeated again, but no luck in changing the outcome.

Any suggestions for figuring out how to get the fourth memory fragment?

I can only promise you you're overlooking something or skipped a step or aren't on the step you think you're on or similar. It is also possible that if you started the Rhapsodies missions you may need to progress them further before you can continue. There are numerous Rhapsodies missions that "borrow" NPCs or otherwise prevent progression in other mission lines until they are completed.

Makes sense. I will check my Rhapsodies progress, good suggestion. I was hoping that someone might chime in to say they had seen similar and had found a solution for it.

I just got the fourth memory fragment so this is a follow-up on what I did. To summarize, I completed the Bastok quest Bonds of Mythril and have the Excelsis Ring in my inventory. So I think that indicates that I was still on the Bastok Crystal War quest chain. I do not recall diverging from the Bastok quest chain but going through the WotG series has taken a few months of off/on effort so who knows.

I completed the WotG missions between Bonds of Mythril to/including Her Memories: Operation Cupid to gain three memory fragments and then started the Bastok quest Her Memories: Azure Footfalls. The Bastok quest was in my list of current quests, and I followed the steps in the bg-wiki guide. I got cut-scenes at some/all of the quest steps. I definitely got a cutscene when examining the Barricade in North Gustaberg (S) E-7. But when I followed up with speaking to Adelbrecht I did not get a cutscene or the fourth memory fragment.

My Rhapsodies progress is parked at The Orb's Radiance and I did not see any overlap between this mission and Adelbrecht or the others involved in Her Memories: Azure Footfalls.

So I ventured to Southern San d'Oria (S) and chatted with Mainchelite. I did not get a cutscene when traveling from East Ronfaure (S) back into Southern San d'Oria (S). But Mainchelite gave me a cutscene regarding Lilisette, and my quest list dropped Her Memories: Azure Footfalls and replaced it with Her Memories: Carnelian Footfalls.

I followed the steps for the new quest and was able to complete it for the fourth memory fragment. Woot!
