Disconnecting losing spawn items

So yesturday around 6:20pm gmt+1 I lost my login points spawn item Honey Wine used to pop Fafnir. I built up Treasure Hunter to 11, hoping it to reach 12, then eliminate Fafnir. But then the game server just booted me off the game. I tried to log back in straight away which I did and Fafnir was gone. Not really a fair way to lose your spawn item just being kicked from the game from sudden R0. My internet was fine so all good my end. I believe especially spawn items need to be restored when such a thing happens or these NMs should not depop quickly, as I lost a potential opportunity to get the Ridill when something like this shouldnt happen. Hopefully this can be looked into!

Unfortunately SE takes a very hands off approach when it comes to things like this out of concerns of damaging the economy or game balance by interfering. There is a ONE TIME service available to restore items that have been thrown away/sold to vendors. The only exception to this one time rule is if your account is compromised while a security token is attached to it.

I'm sorry this happened to you but you should make sure your connection to the game is stable before spawning bosses. SE is not responsible for this and will not compensate you outside of the one time restore described above. Which I would highly recommend not using it on something like this. But if you really want to do that, you need to contact a GM in game and ask for this, as this is not a game bug.


Also certain third party tools can cause your game to crash or disconnect as well, so if you are using any I would highly reccomend discontinuing use of them before trying again.

Thank you for your reply, and for letting me know about the one time service, which I'd save for something way more valuable, hopefully never needed. I guess I expected they wouldnt do anything for this and its just unlucky. GM did tell me to report it as a bug on the forums.

My connection did seem stable to the server until it wasnt in that moment, but also disconnected an hour later again, so just seemed a bad day. Ffxiv seemed fine for me after that, but did notice many others disconnecting there that same day.

The need for the one time restore has been significantly lessened by the addition of the recycle bin feature, which lets you recover items you throw away as long as you do it right away (the recycle bin is cleared when you change areas).
