Missing out on millions of gil. And primers are completely useless until they add MEVA to the list.
Some of us have other priorities. I really don't have that much need for gil in the first place. There's not much I can buy that's going to make the jobs I play better so exchanging sparks and accolades has long more than covered my needs.
+3 stats don't need to be massive, the goal is to give people things to work on within their ability range.
Playing FFXI is like running a relay race, if they allow you to cap out on one piece of content then the player has to be able to do another type of content they a) like doing b) can do. For serious players, it's not a huge problem cause they can do any content.
The problem with allowing players to cap Ambuscade is its a) very accessible to everyone b) the best most diverse content in the game c) as I have been stating in many posts all the other content is nowhere near as good or it's simply impossible for casual solo players to progress onto.
If you have content people like doing and is popular you should keep the progression chain in that, if they link the new NM system into Ambuscade then that is at least something.
