A storage slip for your storage slips?

Look the whole reason the porters were im plemented htis way was due to technical limitations.

A storage slip has a string of 0s and 1s attached to it, with each digit representing an item that could be stored. That is the only information stored on the slip. It is for this reason that, outside of items which have fixed augments that are 100% the same 100% of the time, items with augments or variable charges or any extra data can't be stored on them, because a simple 0 or 1 is not enough to retain all that data.

When you store an item with the slip, the item is literally gone. The only evidence of the item is the digit on that storage slip.

For this same reason you couldn't have a storage for storage slips because it would have to work the same way- the data attached to the storage slip, and therefore all the items associated with it, would be lost.

They would have to redevelop the system entirely from scratch to make it work differently.
