Vana'Bout Objective - Starting a Flame (Not Receiving Points After Completion)

Steps:
Talked to Legata to ensure that "Starting a Flame" quest was active. Got messaging to turn in another four flint stones, indicating quest was already active.

Traded four flint stones to NPC and received normal quest reward, however no Plaudit rewards for Vana'Bout objective completion.

Attempted to repeat the objective/quest three additional times. Each time, I received the regular quest completion reward, but no plaudits or Vana'Bout completion credit.

The Vana'Bout is now permanently highlighted in "red" as if actively being selected, but is not showing completed.

Unlike other incomplete objectives, I'm unable to "remove" this particular Vana'Bout

They also go red like that when cancelled.

Any chance that happened accidentally?

Even if not, I suppose that might be an interesting datapoint.

Also wonder if you cancelled a previous objective in that slot, and did you at any point see this one being all geren and incomplete?

Definitely did not cancel. However, after experiencing the error I went and cancelled a different objective from the previous day "A Star is Born" because I really only play solo and wasn't going to be able to complete the BCNM. A recent update makes it so you must now hold down the button to cancel a daily objective in Vana'Bout, so you have to be seeking that out specifically now. I hoped that doing that might trigger some sort of refresh of the list, but it didn't.

I also logged out, exited the client, etc. I'm worried and bummed that it'll eat up a objective slot for the upcoming days and prevent me from getting the highest tier reward. I think you can only miss so many daily objectives, so hoping there's a solution.

I'd guess the objective will be replaced tomorrow, hopefully, whatever happened to it.

I do think I saw a similar report on the Japanese side, but I'll need to look for it to see how similar it actually is.

And yeah, should be pretty difficult to accidentally cancel them now, thankfully.

Was hoping that it would be replaced, but it's stuck there and preventing whatever whatever would replace in for plaudit earning. Total bummer. I can't even cancel the objective when selecting it - super frustrating. I even attempted to turn in the quest again today. I got the normal reward as usual, but no plaudits or completion credit.

Like on the previous day and did you cleared the objective on that slot OK?

I looked for the Japanese report I was thinking of [1], but that was quite a bit differnt.

From what they tell, they were changing areas just when the objectives were updated, and they got none of the daily ones, though they also said they they cleared one daily one so... unsure... but still, quite a bit different, but could be related I maybe guess.

I can't recall exactly, but I wasn't doing anything abnormal like trying to warp or clear any objectives simultaneously. I had just entered, stood at the NPC and proceeded to trade. I was just doing my objectives like normal first thing in the morning. That person got it much worse than me - dang!

I even tried submitting for a GM and got no response, although I did get an emailed "Customer Service Survey" asking about my experience with that lol.

I appreciate you attempting to help me track anything down. The objective cleared on the third day (two missed objectives) as if nothing had happened.

If the pattern holds, it looks like tomorrow's objective includes "Starting a Flame" again so I'm just a little nervous. I need all the objectives for full points.

Everyone needs to do these. Just shout/yell and I guarantee you'll get help. I don't group unless I need to either, but I can bear being around another person for 5 minutes.

Also you appear to have some dat swaps in place, I'd recommend undoing those when reporting bugs because it can potentially relate to bugs/issues you encounter.

That said... I'm not aware of any VB objectives giving items but objectives can also change color when you have a full inventory and the objective grants an item. Was your inventory full while doing any of these?
