yeah it was really strange though. i was fighting those lizards for hours and only getting 1-2 drops then i'd get like a 4 item drop then an hour later i got the 7 item drop.

use the old mob pull tactic, send in your crappiest jug, let it get hate, then Leave it before it gets killed, only the mob you hit will come (although it can link whatever it passes on the way), pop a real jug and go to town. Expensive but it works.
And since when was heel removed? I use it all the time, in fact I used it just Tuesday in Nyzul Isle, works fine.
Not sure if it was mentioned before, but wouldn't Dipper Yuly have Treasure Hunter III?
As Dipper Yuly is a Level 90 Jug pet according to Wiki and Treasure Hunter III is learned at Level 90, I assumed that maybe Dipper Yuly had as high as Treasure Hunter III.
Is there any way to verify this?
no way to verify unless a shit load of testing was done. and i'd rather not spend 100k on a stack of dippers to test her TH skills. but there seems to be a lot of confusion when it comes to dipper. i'd get 1-2 drops per dusk lizard, then 4, then 7 which was really really strange. for some reason i feel like the amount of enmity dipper has as opposed to yourself can have an effect on the lvl TH if it does climb higher. and the amount of "ready" moves you use, the latter being the lesser likely of the two.
Alot of people keep mentioning this. I've been posting alot of bst testing lately. I won't touch this testing before the next level cap increase.
at level 90, you have a 1/6 chance of getting a level 90 jug (unless its shasra or broncha). I've not tested yet, but I'm guessing that monster gloves would make that a 1/3 chance.
no way anyone wants to spend the time and gil for that. you'd first need to verify Yuly is level 90. Which means you would have to go fight the high level stuff to get hp low, and test using reward, and then compare hp and % to the known hp tables for level 90 jug. ONLY AFTER verifying this, could you try to record or parse the treasure drop rates from something that is well tested and known.
I'm pretty confident that Yuly has it at 90. Even testing a few older jugs, I've found chucky gains crit attack bonus at level 78. Its part of the job.
It seem jugs get traits from either their job, or their family. I've been able to verify almost every job trait so far (not merited ones).

Not to mention, Even if it gets it at level 90, If Yuly follows the same patterns as pre-76 Pets, She, even with Monster Gloves, can spawn as a level 89 pet, Completely skewing all results.
Unless its been so long I may have missed that new pets dont follow the same old patterns, and always spawn at our level? Though i doubt it...
Yeah, the prices for Dipper Yuly are insane now... I can understand that being one of the reasons that people haven't finished tests on her just yet. I'd really like to find out though if anyone finds a post about the testing results that someone may have done if possible.
Keep me informed, please, and thanks for the replies! ^.^
One of these days I'm going to try killing Fistule while having a bunch of aggro'd leeches on backup keeping my pet in combat, just to see if the pet goes and attacks Fisty after it respawns without it being activated. It would be funny if they started fighting each other but the NM remained untargetable. SCIENCE!
lolz! i should try this. I'm fighting fistule alot.
Its easier to repeat the problem if you are pulling a big mass or mobs. I was pulling for a cleave burn for trial axe yesterday, holding all the birds on pet. When they werekilled, by pet starts charging off into who knows where...
It happened a few times. its easier to repeat this way. very annoying, but would befun to get fistule claim for this bug.
