prismatic/timeless hourglass

I just returned to the game a few weeks ago. In trying to join in some endgame content, dynamis. I tried to get the new required hourglass, prismatic. The npc that supplies it asked me to trade the old timeless hourglass to it in exchange for the new one and 500k G. But nowhere in my inventories do I carry a timeless hourglass. I have done dynamis before, but I dont have that item, at least anymore. I cannot continue the content with out the item.

Secondly, this is probably working as intended. It is indeed very confusing how they ask for the old hourglass, while it has nothing to do with the new. It's only for the occasion where adventurers are still holding on to the old item, and by trading them in they can get a refund that way.

As long as the pre-conditions are met, you should be able to simply trade 50,000 gil to one of the gobbies to get the new fangled key item (if I remember right-like).
