Good day, adventurers!

Over the last few weeks, the COVID-19 virus has been spreading rapidly here in Japan, with many people falling ill. I recently caught it myself, forcing me to switch to an online appearance for an episode of AMAN and LIVE!, so I hope I didn't cause any of you to worry. I am currently recuperating, while also trying to keep from pushing myself too hard at work.

Meanwhile, the game's development and operations teams are working on a number of schedule and game updates so that you can continue to enjoy the game without interruption. I hope that all of you are in good health and can pay a visit to Vana'diel whenever you are able to find some spare time.

Now, I'd like to discuss the October version update.

  • August: Removal of obstacles (bushes) from Yorcia Weald
  • September: Relaxation of the Fame rank increase requirements
In addition to the changes above, we are also responding to requests to reduce the waiting period for Coalition Assignment imprimaturs in Seekers of Adoulin.

Since this change affects nearly all aspects of the expansion in some manner or another, including your Adoulin mission progress, we made sure to carefully evaluate the potential impact of such a change and have determined that we can reduce the waiting period without any issues. Sorry for the wait!

I hope you continue to enjoy the Seekers of Adoulin missions, as well as all of the related content and Rhapsodies of Vana'diel.

■ Revisions to the Limbus reward cycle

I would like to thank you for the many hours all of you have put into the game since the September version update. I also need to apologize for the various issues that popped up immediately after the update was released.

Going forward, we plan to make the following revisions based on the feedback we have received so far, the status of each World's notorious monster battles, and also taking into account the planned content of future updates.
  • The tabulation period for calculating the number of notorious monsters defeated will be extended from 1 week to 4 weeks.
  • The availability of the upgraded treasure chest will be extended from 1 week to 4 weeks.
We are happy to report that the notorious monster battles in each World are proceeding pretty much as we anticipated. However, we feel that if we stick to the current system where the rewards are reset each week, you will end up focusing more on the busywork of fighting the monsters rather than enjoying the content itself, so we have made this adjustment our top priority.

Furthermore, since this adjustment is also based on content still to come as part of future updates, some of you may feel that it doesn't go far enough, but we plan to continue making revisions as needed. We appreciate your understanding in regards to this matter.

■ Acquiring the Malignance armor set

Even though you need to take on the ★Maiden of the Dusk high-tier battlefield numerous times in order to acquire all of the battlefield's spoils (Malignance armor set), many players continue to accept the challenge due to the armor's stats and unique design.

Given that a reasonable period of time has passed since its first implementation and that we are planning to add more content in the future, we have decided to change the method for acquiring the spoils so that it is easier to get any pieces you might be missing.
  • Malignance armor will now drop as a "Malig. Box" instead of specific armor pieces.
  • Opening the Malig. Box causes it to change into a piece of Malignance armor.
  • If the armor is a piece you already have, it will change back into a Malig. Box and you can repeat the process.
Note: Due to the way the system works, you may need to use the Malig. Box more than once if you already have multiple pieces of the set.

In October, you will encounter both Trolls and Dvergr.

Autumn is considered the perfect time for reading, so the Dvergr in Volume 2 will switch it up a bit this time and be accompanied by some books (Grimoires). As you increase the difficulty level, the number of books will also increase, with each of them strengthening the Dvergr accordingly. Form your party with an eye toward dealing damage and take note of the title of the book you are facing!

■ Accepting new characters
We will be applying the restrictions currently in place for the Asura World server to the Bahamut World server as well.

It has always been a World with a large number of concurrent users, meaning that more and more players have made it their second choice after Asura lately, so it is now facing similar risks of overcrowding. As a result of this, the maximum number of characters is approaching its limit, while the amount of data needed for each character has also increased compared to what it was ten years ago. Therefore, we need to take these measures in order to ensure that the game runs smoothly on all Worlds.

We will continue to monitor the situation and make any adjustments or revisions as needed. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding regarding this matter.

■ About the login campaign
This is a bit further down the road, but we are currently planning a renewal of the login campaign system in November.

We are working on ways to make the lineup even more attractive and also update the points system so that you can get better rewards for continuing to log in on a regular basis. We'll be sharing more details about these changes in the near future, but I do want to share one of them with you in advance.

Under the current rules, up to 1,500 of your unused login points can be carried over to the following month. However, we plan to reduce this carryover amount to a maximum of 700 points with the October 2025 login campaign. Please take this into consideration when exchanging for items.

We'll be sure to give an update regarding the login campaign through the usual channels once we have more information to share.

It appears that many new adventurers and also those returning to the game are attempting to complete the event two, perhaps even three times, so he's hoping that you take advantage of this opportunity to play through the content again.

The second go-around for this event is currently scheduled for late October. I hope you are looking forward to it.

That does it for this month's update. Until next time...
Safe journeys!
