Maybe if they were doing different/multiple campaigns EVERY week. But just one week out of the month, I'm barely even having time to participate in it.

I respect that the devs wanted to try out something different with the campaign lengths for the currently active bonuses (focus on exp for a week and then bring the other bonuses later so that players focused on exp/jp don't feel like they're sacrificing exp/jp when doing content related to the other bonuses). I actually think this is a very good idea. However, the optics/messaging surrounding that choice needed to be much clearer (especially for the 1st time) if that was the plan. Vast majority of people I have spoken with had no idea that was the intention this time around with the shortened campaign frame.
Please announce the entirety of campaign events/bonuses for each period, not just a week at a time.
I'm starting to notice the cynical decisions, and I'm not liking it.
This is like a movie theater giving 50% extra drink to make customers buy and feel happy and it being a success, and then realizing you can lower it to 25% cause they might buy more if you do.
The way to keep people playing it to add more things, not start scrimping out of fear players might cap and quit.
Campaigns are part of why the game continues to make so much money, don't start doing this or the goodwill is going to start drying up.
Also, angle nobody's really talking about yet: This round of Vana'bout is a reward for hitting the stretch target for the last one. Because we have this bonus Vana'bout round, monthly campaigns are truncated. Conclusion: avoid earning bonus Vana'bouts if you like monthly campaigns.
Doesn't feel like that's the key to getting people excited about the event.
Maybe if this one turned out to actually feel like a reward, giving out silver vouchers for clearing each objective or something, that would balance it out. I mean, that's definitely not what's happening, but if it did, it would maybe make short monthly things feel better.
There is no reason to have short campaigns.
Players will pick and choose what content they want to do. If you are concerned about players not being able to complete everything because there is "too much going on".
Then setup campaign's that do not conflict with other event's such as Vana'Bout
