    [dev1003] Abyssea Seals

    [dev1003] Abyssea Adjustments
The upcoming version update will see the following additions made to Abyssea.
    Adjustments
New ways to obtain Empyrean upgrade seals will be added.
New ways to obtain Empyrean upgrade cards will be added.
I have two suggestions for this. A mode switch for quests/ops. Maybe for the quests it decreases the chance of me getting a seal (or not), but with the mode turned on I always get the seals I want when I get them from quests.

You know how expensive seals could be if they could be bazaared? Just a suggestion.

I'm not in favor of seals being sellable via bazaar. However, I do like the idea of having an NPC available where you can trade unwanted seals for 1 seal that you need. Perhaps a 4:1 or 5:1 ratio? But, in order to keep this balanced, the seals have to be for the same part of the body.

Example: I am looking for Tantra Seal: Feet seals, I am 7/8 and need one more to complete the upgrade to Tantra Gaiters +1. I have 2 Navarch Seal: Feet (my Corsair is 60) and 3 Lancer's Seal: Feet (my Dragoon is 62) that I do not need. I can trade those to the "Seal Trader NPC" and obtain a seal of my choice in return, that being the Tantra Seal: Feet I need to complete my upgrade.

Another way of balancing this would be to have a set ratio per body part. 5:1 for Head, Legs, and Feet, and maybe 7:1 for Hands and Body.

I'd rather they implement a system that allows you to trade points (not Cruor, too generic) to swap seals.

For example, in Vunkerl you could exchange feet seals of one kind for another (since all NMs in that zone drop feet) by spending Resistance Credits, which would also help get people back into Bastion/Resistance Ops. In Miseraux you'd trade for Legs, etc. etc. And the same goes for the Heroes zones, only you trade Dominion Notes and it can be either Body or Hands since all areas drop both types (they could instead restrict it to the jobs that drop in that area idk)

Also for Heroes zones it'd be nice if we could trade Battle Trophies for +1/+2 items

I'd love to see these items drop from the popped NM's in the Vision of Abyssea zones, it would sure help those who are trying to recruit help with killing the NM's for their third-from-last Empyrean trials.

All of the ideas sounds good, many players can't complete the AF3 because of seals, and an exchange NPC could help us solve the issue, as the trade ratio 4:1, 5:1 sound really good as this prevents an unbalance on the game

Trading them 5:1 or 4:1, along with requiring the same gear slot sounds good to me.

I submitted a similar idea to SE directly several weeks ago, and made a thread about it on alla--which sparked off a major debate with the epeens. The idea was to add a sort of quest to the Resistance Sappers and Dominion Sergeants where they would accept a Testimony for a particular job, temporarily locking all seal rewards to that job. Depending on how the results are determined, codewise, it could just be an override injected after the roll is done for seal reward--if a seal is rewarded, it would switch to the job locked with the Testimony. This could be restricted in various ways, as SE would see fit to secure game balance--just that quest run, just that visitation, or a set amount of time (X number of game days, X number of real life hours, or JP midnight it resets). This would still maintain the basic randomness and restrictions of the current system (the roughly 1/4 chance to get a seal, and you can only get 1 seal reward within 1 gameday's time frame), but would improve the chances to get the DESIRED seal considerably for those that are (for whatever reason) having/choosing to run the quests instead of hunting the NM's. Again--this would ONLY be for RESISTANCE OPS and DOMINION OPS, not the regular NPC quests that you can spam as fast as you can run the quest, zone, and run again. It would only be for the quests that are, by design, restricted to reward a seal no more then once per game day.
