That's what the delivery system is for.

An easy way to do this, would be to add an NPC that sells R/E items for 10-20-30 million gil and buys them back for the same amount (maybe with a small reduction, to stop spamming). You could then buy the item, send it to your alt on the same account and sell it to get the gil traded over.

Or they could just increase the limit on how much you can send at a time (to a character on the same account)

Those transactions by and large aren't to the same account.

I agree with most all that, but the delivery box per character can only sent 8 items, if you craft alot like i do you get like 30-40 items to send and spend a whole day sending them because your friends dont want to help you transfer stuff, and i dont trust anyone to transfer money because the game wont reimburse you if your friend decides to go rogue. i learned that when i lost 250million buying the wrong item, and yes it was my dumb fault but it happens.
