Hello!
The new Limbus is great in many ways, and bad or horrible in many others.
FFXI needed an event offering freedom to play solo, in party or alliance to progress further as endgame content. Limbus II does all that and for this, it is a great new event FFXI needed.
However, many problems appears in the process;
1- It is way too grindy , getting 5 treasure per week sounds good if we can climb just 1 of the Temenos towers and open the treasure at the end of that tower for a 5000 units reward.
But having to climb all towers for a slight 3-5k units is close to absurd ammount of grind.
Also, if we are to cap at 100k units possible to farm in 1 week, then it needs to be actually possible to earn it;
My suggestion is climb 1 of temenos tower to open the treasure at the end to earn 5000 to 8000 units. OR
Do all the climb of all towers to earn a 25 000 to 30 000 units in 1 treasure opening.
This way it actually is possible to max out the 100k weekly limit.
This should be similar in Apollyon where climbing 1 area offers the possibility to open the treasure at the end of that area. OR, do a full climb before open 1 treasure for exta units bonus.
2- The aggro and link of foes is absolutely annoying, especially in Temenos. The area is very narrow and trying to fight 1 enemy ends up in a huge train. Those trains caused me to get MPK from other players wipes from their trains; I already lost over 300k exemplar points from this, despite having the Vital Grace KI.
We need a non aggro non link , especially for Temenos, and despawn of the train if puller KO.
I have to mention it is extremely annoying having to fight a 6 foes train when we only need 4 kills to get the temp item. On top of that we have to use sneak invisible every floors just to walk to the next room and teleport up.
That is extremely annoying too and is a huge slow down.
Temenos is horribly painful to farm right now as it is.
3- The rewards are extremely disappointing.
A lot of the new stats on +4 makes sense in a manner where they are widely adjusted, for example parts that didn't have magic accuracy now has it. That makes a lot of sense and was deeply needed.
What makes the new armors +4 disappointing;
They all needed a 8% up to 14% -damage taken. For All Jobs, for all parts.
Most of them are used just for casting a spell or using a job ability or use a weapon skill.
So they are equipped only for 1s. Which is why they deeply needed -dt% bonuses on every parts, to make it easier on us to make gear change sets.
For example, my DRK has new awesome magic accuracy bonus on AF parts that adds up nicely with set bonus, but I can't use them because they don't have -dt% so it makes them pointless.
For melee jobs & hybrid jobs, they needed Store TP bonus, Double, Triple or Quadruple Attack bonus, and/or Physical Damage limit + bonuses.
For magic user jobs, they needed Conserve MP, Fast Cast, Refresh and/or Magic Burst Bonuses.
For all jobs, they need a renewed job bonuses, for example the equipments that requires us to wear it to earn the bonuses from a job ability needs to be changed so we only need to wear the equipment when using the job ability for the bonus to remain for as long as the job ability is still in effect, allowing us to change equipments and still get the bonus.
Also, for all jobs, they need to have job effects increased, for example Job ability +1, should be increased to +2. etc.
The new Artifact +4 and Relic+4 feels like they already are outdated since they do not offer anything nicer than equipments that were released more than 5 years ago.
In that manner, as soon as something new and strongeer will be added to the game, the +4 will look completely awkward and obselete.
Please adjust the +4 Artifacts and Relics with adding to them, as minima, a 8 to 14% damage taken per parts. Especially on those with weaponskill damage bonus.
Also, please adjust the rewards from climbing trough Limbus so we don't have to spent 10 hours a day farming it to acheive a slight 40k units per week, when it should be 1 or 2 hours a day only to reach a weekly 50k points.
