No damage taken-
No new spells tied to gear
for pet jobs, No pet: {HP+, enmity+, damage taken-, regen, regain, or occasional absorb/nullify damage}
SMN didn't get any sort of buff to their Blood Pact: Ward skills via new unique added stats even.
Most of the unique stats on the gear didn't change at all.
This update is devoid of ingenuity with regard to the rewards. For the content I'll have a look at that eventually... maybe now is a good time to go on a break from the game while SE fixes this or adds +5 with the real updated stats on gear.
yea.....just wow, i was kind of expecting more when they said "bringing it in line with the empyrean +3" gear........from as far as i can tell right now, there are a couple pieces 'worth' +4ing........and it would only be gear you had for specific purposes
i mean in many of the cases, the best thing the gear got was +5-10 accuracy/attack and +1 to skill.......
they really would have been served by making a new armor set that drops here and just adjusted the damn ++2/3 variants of all the armor to have bigger boosts
actually, thinking about it just now.......what if the idea is, this gear is more to bridge the gap to help you get empy+3 and sheol gear?
like, if this should have been content that was there before sortie/odyssey but after dynamis D?......just a thought.....kind of feels like that is where the official position of the gear is.
the max level you can set is 130 currently, kind of where im leaning currently
I'm really disappointed by the marginal upgrades.
Even worse, Beastmaster AF has no hint to being a Frontline DD? ...You could have combined Charm+ onto a single piece, and then giving BSTs more offensive stats.
私の言葉に悪意があるとは考えないでください。
Please do not consider my words to be malicious.
You have to remember that the af/relic/emp sets all have a "theme" to them. AF is max acc/ relic is max attack and enhances group 2 merits/ emp seems to be -DT and unique set bonus. All they did was bring the af/relic sets basic stat/combat skills up to be on par with the emp sets. They did not change what you do with the pieces. While it would be great to have -DT on every set; it seems they want that to be part of the emp set "theme".
side note: The bst relic body seems to not have changed at all. Is this just a translation error? or a oversight?
SE did state there is a bug in the official update thread with Ankusa body +4 stats appearing lower on the gear than actual effective.
I do get what you mean about the theme, but if their goal was to bring it in line with empy, it is a massive letdown......a number of pieces still get beat on basic acc/atk stats that empy has, not to mention the DT on the empy gear. They did bridge the gap a little, but many pieces still have quite a gap.
the other part that makes me sad, i know there were pieces that were 'maybe' on upgrades, and almost certain many of them fall short still. and then the sheer number of 'donts' gear that just serve no purpose.
only part that hurts more, its the effort that goes into getting those minimal increases.....doesnt feel worth it with some of the stuff, at least imo.
You have to ask who this is a "big miss" for. . . because I am genuinely excited about this. FFXI gear progression is typically about little drops here and there that cumulatively make you stronger. . . And this is just the beginning of Limbus!! You're complaining far too early! I can't wait to go green!
Put your pompoms away cheerleader. This isn't 2014 going from 99 to 109 this upgrading the oldest legacy gear in the game to its new highest level and does it in the most mediocre way.
I'm incredibly jealous of anyone whos skirt flies up at the thought of +2 wsd, I wish I was so easily pacified by junk.
