FF16 is not decided by skill, strength or luck. It essentially plays itself. I consider it a movie. not a video game.
A movie is non-interactive. A video game has interactive elements. How much skill or luck is required is irrelevant. Many video games are purely games of chance while others have the strategy depth of chess. They are all still games.

Do you press buttons and things happen? Then it's a video game. If you want to argue that it's in the visual novel genre, with very little user input, that's fine, but those are still technically games.
