Anyone know exactly what the new Mog Bonanza reward 'Moogle Iris' is or what it does? It sounds like it will be an item that is used to +1/HQ the Mog Bonanza Rank 1 Weapons, but that would also mean that you would have to win Rank 1 two times for it to be useful? Seems like lightning striking twice.

Ask again after the May version update, those reforged weapons and the moogle iris itself should be added to the game and their information mined after that. If not, it'll be June's update.
There's been speculation that there will be a secondary way to obtain the bonanza weapons, making the iris useful for that.
However, having to win the mog bonanza twice to get a reforged weapon is kind of consistent with the sortie earring +2 situation, that just seems to be the kind of disrespectful design we get sometimes, so I'm not sure I'm optimistic.(1)
