If you manage to actually get a LOUD THUD on a Venus you should be guaranteed better loot than a Frayed sack (tau). Its really a troll at this point.

Maybe you already had the item that would have dropped. Unless you *only* had the loud thud and nothing else, you have no way of proving otherwise unless you posess none of the items rewarded from the BC.
But I mean, the whole thing has been a troll since day 1. It's literally a game of russian roulette. Nothing is guaranteed.
I would like to see the item that we were unable to obtain.
"Item XYZ disappears into nothingness..."
or ...perhaps:
"You already own Item XYZ, so it was added to the Treasure Pool"
私の言葉に悪意があるとは考えないでください。
Please do not consider my words to be malicious.
If counts match between sounds and drops you got all the drops. For a Venus you should not get either a frayed sack (Tau) or a paragon card for the loud thud
I would too- I'm just pointing out that this is an intended mechanic that the game doesn't drop these items if everyone has them already."
But since we often forget or don't remember if we have something, or don't know that a party member has it, an item could easily not drop for this reason but nobody actually knows that this is what happened and assume it's just horrible luck.
You can tell by just counting how many chests you opened vs how many pieces of loot in the pool, even if you never know what the duplicate is
And again. 5 Venus orbs, 4 mimics and then this.

I take it neither of those are among the more valuable shards?![]()
