Idk man.......Maybe some enjoy it, but it is weird because April 1st is pretty much the only time they communicate with us directly involving major changes to the game, but I know it is a joke lmao.........

its not april 1st yet...
Now it is.
A cableway network has been added to facilitate high-speed transportation between Sel Phiner and various nations.
You know, the sad part of this is in the early development, there actually was planned to be some sort of railway type transportation system- To this day, Bastok has a rail depot that has been permanently blocked off and unused since day 1.
Would have been funny to actually make a small portion of the planned zone accessible, with a fence or something declaring it off-limits to adventurers. If the assets are around somewhere it wouldn't have been necessary to borrow art staff for long. The trick would be hiding it somewhere in one of Bastok's maps, or finding a way to add a new zone (I think it's been mentioned that the problem is an indexing thing, like with spells, there just isn't much room left? But with the Limbus revamp, if Temenos and Apollyon were a series of small zones before and are one big layer zone now, that might have freed up a couple of spots...)
Would have been a lot to do for just an April Fools gag though. Might have been a fun way to introduce Sel Phiner if there'd been secret plans to develop the zone for something later... though as a town, I can't imagine it would do much on its own.
At any rate though, pretty neat event this year, it's nice to see some of the things on the update notice actually appear in game. I hope some of it actually sticks around - the Shami's key thing might be a little too much of a freebie, but pom-pom fruit might not be too much? (Haven't heard anything about what it does, possible it's a little much too but I won't assume such.)
I think they are fun, and indeed nice that some of the things are actually implemented, even if temporarily. It's uncool that they remove the posts afterwards though, so I've been archiving them myself.
Many of the things would be nice to keep, or modified a little and keep.
One of my favourites I think from a previous year was the game setting "turn everything off" with a black screenshot demonstration.
And yeah, more communication, or communication at all aside from the update notes would be good...
I do believe it was in Japan, and the topics appear to have been created at 5:30/6:59 UTC yesterday (2025-03-31, Ante Meridiem), around 9:30/8:01 hours before this topic; I wouldn't be surprised if they were briefly visible unintentionally ahead of the usual time (working as intended though).
...or so the legend says.
Was kind of surprised, even if it is a april fools joke, that they showed off this unused location.
